On this day INC( Church of Christ ) in various parts of the world dedicates profound tributes & meaningful reverence in reminiscing the late Eraño de Guzman Manalo (January 2, 1925 - August 31, 2009), also known as Ka Erdy. He was the 2nd Executive Minister of INC & instrumental in the propagation and expansion of the church internationally. He previously held office as the General Treasurer of the church, and as a District Minister of Manila.
Ka Erdie’s dream of building a facility for the local and international community “to serve and share God’s blessings” will soon be fulfilled with the construction of what would be the world’s biggest domed structure in Ciudad de Victoria, Bocaue, Bulacan.To be named Philippine Arena, it will have a seating capacity of 50,000 to 55,000, a floor area of 74,000 square meters, and an arched roof measuring 36,000 square meters. It will house the EGM Memorial Medical Center, New Era University Bulacan, New Era University Sports Stadium Complex, and the EVM Convention Center. It is expected to be completed by 2014 for the INC’s centennial celebration.
The Philippine Postal Corporation on his death announced that it will issue a limited edition postage stamp in his honor.The Quezon City government also renamed what was Central Avenue to Eraño G. Manalo Avenue. Ordinance number SP-1961 S-2009 of the Quezon City Council stated the renaming was to is recognition of "“his greatness and nobility” in leading the powerful religious group.
Magpatuloy sa Kasakdalan at sa Pagiging Ganap sa Buhay Espirituwal --- Ito ang nilalayon ngayon ng Pamamahala sa loob ng Iglesia ni Cristo. At sa ating paggunita sa kaarawan ng Ka Erdy ay hindi papayag ang bawat kaanib ng INC na mawalan ng kabuluhan ang kanilang pagpapagal at pagsisikap na ito rin naman ang pinagpapatuloy marating ng bawat kaanib ng kawan sa pangunguna ng kasalukuyang Tagapamahalang Pangkalahatan. ^__^
